Why can’t I get a rate instantly from your website?
This is to ensure that we can give you the best price we can offer.

What information do I need to provide in order for me to have the best possible rate?
Our rate depends on how many kilometres we can give you per day.  If you can provide the length of your rental and the destinations you may go to, we can give you a rate with sufficient kilometres which prevents you from paying more because of the excess kilometre charge.

Why can’t you just give me unlimited kilometres?
We can give you unlimited kilometres.  However, we suggest that you let us know where you want to go so we can help you with the best price.  An example of this is let’s say you want a car for 3 days and the furthest trip that you will do is Litchfield, we can give you a price with sufficient kiometres that will cover your Litchfield trip and some more driving which will be a lot cheaper than paying a rate with unlimited kilometres.

Are there restrictions with unlimited kilometres?
Yes, there are some area restrictions.  Please contact us with details of your travel for information on restrictions.

What does a reduced liability excess means?
Every rental car comes with Standard Liability Excess which is around $3300.  This means that if you have an accident, you need to pay up to $3300 for the insurance excess.  When you pick the car up from the rental depot they will ask if you’d like to pay the optional extra to reduce the excess to around $550 (or less). This costs around $25-$30 per day and they often call this “Reduced Liability Excess”.

What does your all-inclusive package mean?
This means that the price given to you is the amount that you have to pay all-up, with no hidden cost (we hate hidden cost).  The price includes the stipulated free kilometers, reduced liability excess, 1 windscreen and 1 tyre coverage and all taxes.   Tyre coverage is not applicable on 4WD.

Will my overseas drivers licence be accepted in Australia?
If you have held a valid, unrestricted drivers license, for a minimum of 12 months and it is in English you will not require an international permit. If you do not have these prerequisites then you will need an international permit. All documents must be original.

Will I be able to drive if I’m on a provisional licence?
No.  You must have a valid, current, unrestricted drivers licence.

How old do I need to be to hire a car?
In most cases you need to be a minimum of 25 years old BUT you can still rent a car if you are over 21 years old. In this case the reduced liability excess will be a little bit higher than the reduced liability excess of the driver who’s 25 years old or over. Some vehicle types may also be restricted.

What about additional drivers?
There is no charge for extra drivers.  Additional drivers can be added on the contract as long as they personally present a current and unrestricted drivers licence.

Will I need the same credit card that I used to book my car to pick it up?
No. But you will need a credit card with the card owner present at the reception desk. It does not need to be the same credit card as the one used to make the booking.

Will I get my deposit if I don’t show up?
No.  A vehicle will be reserved for you at the time you put a deposit which means that future enquiries for that vehicle will be turned down, that’s why the deposit is non-refundable.

How do I make a change on my booking?
The easiest way to modify your booking is by calling us as soon as possible to ensure that it can be accommodated.

Do I need to pay upfront?
Yes.
